# Plans and Pricing

## The big idea: one pool of AI credits

Sight AI runs on **AI credits**. Instead of juggling separate quotas for articles, visibility checks, and other features, every plan comes with a single monthly pool of credits, and **everything you do with AI draws from that one pool.**

* Write an article, generate an image, run a visibility check, use the AI editor, do keyword research — it all spends credits from the same balance.
* **Simple anchor: \~100 credits = 1 full SEO article** (text + image).
* Credits refresh at the start of every billing period. Plans bill monthly or annually (annual saves \~20%).

## What credits are spent on

Anything powered by AI uses credits. Approximate costs (actual usage is metered precisely):

  Some AI work is **included infrastructure and is never charged to your credit balance**: embeddings (which power site search, agent memory, and retrieval), the website analysis that auto-configures a new site during setup, and internal content classification. You only spend credits on the customer-facing actions in the table above.

## Billing & credits FAQ

**Do credits roll over?** Plan credits refresh each billing period and don't roll over. Bonus or purchased extra credits **never expire**.

**What happens if I run out?** AI actions pause until your next refresh. On Pro/Advanced you can move to a higher credit tier anytime for an immediate top-up; Starter customers upgrade to Pro.

**Can I change plans or credit tiers later?** Yes — upgrade, downgrade, or change your credit tier anytime from the billing page.
