AI Content Editor

Overview

The AI Content Editor is Sight AI's post-generation editing tool that allows you to review, edit, and refine your articles before publishing. It combines a rich text editor with AI-powered editing capabilities.

Accessing the Editor

To access the AI Content Editor:

1. Generate an article or navigate to an existing one
2. Click on the article from your Articles list
3. Click "Edit" to open the editor

Editor Features

Rich Text Editing

The editor supports full rich text formatting:

• Headings – H1, H2, H3 hierarchy
• Text formatting – Bold, italic, underline
• Lists – Bullet points and numbered lists
• Links – Add and edit hyperlinks
• Quotes – Blockquote formatting
• Code – Inline code and code blocks

AI-Powered Editing

Use AI to enhance specific sections:

• Expand Content – Make a section longer and more detailed
• Rewrite – Rephrase content for clarity or different tone
• Summarize – Condense lengthy sections
• Improve SEO – Optimize selected text for search

To use AI editing:

1. Select the text you want to modify
2. Click the AI button in the toolbar
3. Choose an action (Expand, Rewrite, etc.)
4. Review the suggestion and accept or reject

Image Management

Manage article images directly in the editor:

• View all generated images
• Reposition images within content
• Replace images with new generations
• Add alt text for accessibility
• Upload custom images

Editing Alternate Image Text

Adding descriptive alt text improves accessibility and SEO:

1. Click on any image in your article
2. An image options panel will appear
3. Find the "Alternate Image Text" field
4. Enter a descriptive text that explains the image content
5. Your changes will be saved automatically

Good alt text describes what's shown in the image and provides context for screen readers and search engines.

Deleting Images

To remove an image from your article:

1. Click on the image you want to delete
2. An image options panel will appear
3. Click the "Delete" button
4. The image will be removed from your article

Note: Deleting an image removes it from the article content but does not delete the original image file.

Link Editing

Review and edit all links in your article:

• View internal link suggestions
• Add or remove links
• Update link text and URLs
• Check for broken links

SEO Panel

The SEO panel lets you optimize metadata:

• Title Tag – Edit the page title
• Meta Description – Customize the search description
• URL Slug – Modify the article URL
• Focus Keyword – Set your target keyword

Preview Mode

Preview your article before publishing:

1. Click "Preview" in the editor toolbar
2. View the article as it will appear on your site
3. Check formatting, images, and layout
4. Return to editing mode to make changes

Saving Changes

Changes are saved in multiple ways:

• Auto-save – Changes are automatically saved as you edit
• Manual save – Click "Save" to ensure changes are saved
• Save & Publish – Save and push to your CMS immediately

Version History

The editor maintains version history:

• View previous versions of the article
• Compare changes between versions
• Restore a previous version if needed
